Sign up for the Scheduler of the Year Award ceremony

Throughout the pandemic, bus schedulers have worked miracles – recasting timetables time and again to accommodate changing lockdown restrictions and support healthcare and key workers. This year's Joe Wood Scheduler of the Year Award, hosted by CitySwift and Passenger Transport magazine, offers an opportunity to celebrate this vital work.

The award is also a tribute to our friend and colleague Joe Wood, a widely respected young bus manager who died in 2019. Joe had worked in scheduling roles at Go-Ahead, Stagecoach and Reading Buses before joining CitySwift’s fast-expanding team. He posthumously received the President’s Award at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s Annual Awards for Excellence.

For this year's award, we received nominations from bus companies large and small, from across the UK and beyond. Our judging panel reviewed all the entries and selected their shortlist.

Join us on Friday, February 25th for a live online award ceremony where we will crown this year's Joe Wood Scheduler of the Year.

The event

The Joe Wood Scheduler of the Year Award ceremony will be broadcast from the Hardiman Hotel, Galway on Friday, February 25th at 4pm GMT. The award ceremony will include a panel discussion on what 2022 holds for the bus sector, a tribute to Joe Wood, video profiles of each of the finalists and the announcement of this year's winner.
